Geographical Information Systems, Data Visualization, Evolution, Place Names, Time, Sustainability, and Artificial Intelligence.
I love data – collecting it, organizing it, analyzing it, but most of all visualizing it. Evoviz is a collection of some of the things I have made in my 25 years of using and teaching geographical information systems. The name reflects a long-term interest in visualizing evolution. However, I have had the fortune to work on a wide range of problems and data. I have also had time to pursue my own interests and whims. As a result, my ‘body of work’ is a ‘cabinet of curiosities’.
